On registering with South East Childcare we like to visit your childcare premises, meeting with the manager/owner to familiarise ourselves with the setting and the requirements of the post you require us to fill. This helps us to understand the main aims and objectives of the setting, taking into account the charter and feel of the environment. On meeting with you we can take a full job description of any permanent vacancies you may hold. This also ensures that we take into account the team as a whole identifying the personalities within your current team, It is important that the team complements each other.

South East Childcare has developed a stringent vetting and recruitment procedure on each individual candidate beginning with an interview by one of our Recruitment Consultants in Haywards Heath. The procedure also includes written references and verifies all qualifications. We try to contact the most recent employer to carry out a verbal reference to ensure the standard of the candidates work performance is to a high standard. We will forward a CV and written references to you for your consideration, outlining the candidate’s suitability to you. All individuals will hold an up to date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) within the last two years if employed on a temporary basis or within three years if employed permanently.

We can offer you both long and short term staff on either a permanent or temporary basis. Permanent staff will be employed by the client in the childcare setting, giving you the opportunity to vet the candidate yourself. Temporary staff maybe sent to you on a daily, weekly or monthly basis depending on your requirements.

Timesheets

South East Childcare employ all temporary workers to work within the childcare environment offering you the hassle free service of employing temporary staff. At the end of each shift the candidate will present to you a timesheet, this will state the time they began and the time that they finished deducting any breaks you wish them not to be paid for. The hours you sign for will be the hours that will be invoiced to you the following week. We will supply spare timesheets should a candidate not have one.

The Induction Process

We would ask that when your temporary staff member arrives at your setting that you provide them with a brief tour of the premises. Explain the health and safety regulations, fire drill procedures and the daily routine. Candidates should feel at ease once introduced to the team they will be working with and the children in their care. Please take the time to make them feel welcome.

If you experience any problems with the temporary member of staff please contact the office on 01342 322422 to discuss your concerns to ensure the issues can be resolved as soon as possible. Should a replacement be required we will try our up most to replace the candidate.
